Q Does QBE insure catamarans?
A Yes, but only under certain conditions. Please contact your insurance advisor or QBE direct for more information.
Q What type of Pleasurecraft cover does QBE offer?
A QBE only provides Comprehensive Pleasurecraft insurance, with the choice of 2 cover extensions.
Q Do all people navigating my boat need to be listed on my policy?
A As long as the person in control of your boat has your consent and a valid licence, you do not need to list them on your policy.
Q What do I do if I have an accident?
A Make sure the boat is safe and secure and notify your broker, QBE, the police and /or maritime authority
Q What do I do if my boat is stolen?
A Notify the police, your broker or QBE immediately
Q Are boats covered whilst being towed on the road?
A Yes. Boats are covered whilst on their own trailer provided that they are designed to be trailered and all statutory requirements are being complied with.
Q Are tender boats included?
A

Yes, auxiliary boats and dinghies used as tenders or lifeboats are included as long as they are usually: 
- carried on deck or on davits on the boat, or 
- towed behind the boat    

(If they are capable of more than 20 knots, a separate cover must be applied for.)
